This week we’re talking food. Restaurants that actually live up to the hype and ones that you probably haven’t heard of yet. Copenhagen’s dining scene is one of the best I’ve ever experienced, cozy, candlelit, vibey, and I am sososo excited to share this list with you!

While the city is known for its fine dining, you don’t need a Noma reservation to have an unforgettable meal here. Some of the best food I’ve had is in Copenhagen and I am very picky and careful when recommending places to people, because if you only have a couple days it the city it really matters which restaurants you spend your evenings at.

I’m not a crazy foodie, I just go out to eat... a lot. I love a place that has soul and either a cozy or upbeat atmosphere, whether that’s a moody, date-night energy, or a loud table filled with pasta and wine glasses. I’ve dinned at all of these locations and they all are special to me for different reasons. I’ve included a mix alluring romantic aesthetic, cozy Italian joints, local favorites, and buzzy pre-night out spots with energy and natural wine.

For my free readers:
If you’re eating out in Copenhagen this summer (which… obviously), here’s one spot you have to try: Bar Moro. It’s new, fun, with cool interiors, and the anchovies + natural wine combo is chef’s kiss!

The full guide has my Top 10, with what it is, why you should go and a saved Google Maps list so you’re not just wandering around hangry.

Next week: cafés. And with the amount of bakeries and coffee spots in this city, you have to be very strategic on which ones to hit.

I’m breaking down the ones actually worth your time with the best BMOs (iykyk), which popular ones are overrated and my regular spots as a local where I eat way too many cardemone buns for a regular person.

Let’s eat:
